ABOUT NIMAFILM

For more than 30 years, Nimafilm has produced documentaries in which unique global issues are explored through personal life stories. Our productions hold high artistic value, screening both in cinemas and on television. 

The major themes of Nimafilm’s productions concern human rights matters. Our films create debates and have won several awards worldwide – in 2014 we received an International Emmy Award for best documentary and the Prix Europa for the best European documentary. We have produced several documentaries in the Middle East about people in harsh environments fighting for their rights. By making films that comment on our time and society, Nimafilm aims at giving those who rarely have the chance to be heard the opportunity to tell their stories.
